PRINCIPLES OF LESSON PLAN 1.      Preparation/Instruction: It pertains to preparing and motivating children to the lesson content by linking it to the previous knowledge of the student, by arousing curiosity of the children and by making an appeal to their senses. A teacher should not only have to be thoroughly knowledgeable in the subject handling and also need to know how to control a class and maintain discipline and order in it. Authority Some teachers command authority through the way they look – their very appearance makes students give them the respect they deserve. Others invite sniggers and giggle because they look frumpy and are dressed badly. In order to be taken seriously by the class, one must be presentable and have an authoritative air about the teacher.
